Message: This school is really good and fun to take. The 8 hour class was really easy and I passed the test easily. The instructors for the driving portion were really nice and would change the location for my convience. The only negative is that the lady who owns the place is very old and takes a little while to help you. Other than that the class was fun, they had snacks and drinks for you for free, and the lunch wasn’t that expensive. I definitely recommend this place if you don’t want to go through the 2 weeks with the program at your school.

Message: Very friendly and easy to get in touch with on the phone. Very clear up front about the schedule and expectations. Son went to the class today and enjoyed the 8 hour classroom time. Learned rules of the road and scenarios and was sufficiently impressed with the risks faced as a driver. Cost is similar to other schools in the area. Easy to schedule the class room time; driving time may be more challenging; will update review in a few months once the driving portion is complete.

Message: Please disregard the "review" referencing the accident that car was involved in on i435. I know the person who was driving that car. He was NOT with a student when he was hit and he wasn't even at fault. He was on his way to pick up a student. He said he only used 435 at that time because he had to travel across the county to get to his next student's house. None of the instructors in that company would EVER make a student drive through that dangerous part of 435. In regards to the long waits for appointments; you are lucky to finish ANY driver's ed course within a month in the summer time. People tend to forget that their student isn't the only one going through the program. Hundreds of students are doing it. If you are a parent, looking into drivers ed courses, do your research. Harder Performance has excellent, well experienced instructors and can help your student become more knowledgeable about driving than if they skipped drivers ed. Also, SLOW DOWN ON THE HIGHWAY WORK ZONES! When the speed limit signs say 55, they MEAN IT'S 55!

Message: Rarely do I write reviews, but after my last phone call, I feel the need to inform other parents. Harder Performance Driving does a nice job with their class and preparing the students for the test. However, this is my second child to go through their program in the past two years and they can't keep up with the scheduling demands of their clientele. I have had difficulty getting someone to answer the phone or return voice mail messages. When I do get to talk to someone, it is a 6-8 week wait to schedule a drive with an instructor. They will not allow you to schedule more than one drive at a time. Your child must complete the drive, then you schedule the next drive which could be another 6-8 week window at best. The most frustrating part of the phone conversation was that the scheduler suggested I pull my high school child out of school to schedule a drive during the day when they have availability. Seriously?! ? I couldn't believe what I had heard. She then informed me other parents do it and I should consider it as an option.

Message: I really don't understand the negative reviews. I have used Harder for both my kids and have had positive experiences. I have been treated with courtesy and never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for a callback. The driving sessions were scheduled appropriately - and they have called us when they have cancellations so my daughter could get in faster. The driving instructors are nice and have covered things that are really necessary but didn't occur to me, like how to get around town, stuff like that. I mean, it takes some time to get a driver's license in Kansas. Plan ahead. If you have a teen, don't expect to go in and have a driver's license a week later. It doesn't work like that, regardless of what Harder does.
